Why are we doing the challenge?
We are two friends from Shrewsbury who are planning on kayaking 34 miles for four very worthy charities.
All the charities are associated with liver disease and organ donation.
The charities are:
- PSC support
- British Liver Trust
- Donor Family Awareness
- Memorial Benches
It comes about after Kevin had a liver transplant in January this year having been diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) a non alcohol related autoimmune liver disease. It is our way of showing gratitude for the support I received, raising awareness and fundraising for the charities involved.
We aim to complete our challenge between 17:30/18:00, but don’t be surprised if we are late.
There will be a Family Fun Day starting at mid-day with live music, food, drink and stalls at the popular riverside pub, The Crown Inn at Coleham.
